Happy Birthday Mr. (Joe) Hahn

This week some great people are celebrating their birthdays! After Erin Yoshi's brithday yesterday, today it's time for Linkin Park's Joe Hahn to pop some bottles! For those of you who don't know, Joe, who usually goes by Mr. Hahn, is not only Linkin Park's DJ, but also the best DJ in the world! Yes, Lethal, I said the best DJ in the world! Wait a minute, my brother is a DJ, too, so Joe is the second best DJ in the world! Sorry Joe, but blood is sicker than your mustache! By the way, he turned 87 today! Here's proof: http://twitter.com/#!/joehahnLP/status/47486017288142848 In honour of the magnificent Hahn (did you know that "Hahn" is the German word for "cock"? Just saying...) I've compiled some pictures and videos that show Joe's best moments of his whole life! Thanks, Joe, for being weird, funny, cool, badass, hilarious, and handsome at the same time! Pics and vids after the jump! ...

Lady Gaga, Linkin Park Urge Fans To Help Japan Earthquake Victims – Park’s Mike Shinoda has designed T-shirts to benefit the relief effort

MFR Mike As the situation in Japan continues to deteriorate in the wake of Friday's massive 8.9 magnitude earthquake, the need for assistance has spurred a number of stars to reach out to fans to enlist their help. Just days after announcing the initial dates of his first tour, the My Violent Torpedo/ Defeat Is Not an Option Show, troubled actor Charlie Sheen announced that he will be donating $1 from each ticket sold to the Red Cross Japanese Earthquake Relief Fund. Linkin Park's Mike Shinoda has also gotten into the game quickly, designing T-shirts to benefit his band's Music for Relief charity. One shirt features the image of a paper crane-like white butterfly above the LP logo, and the other one reads "Not Alone" in a red, white and blue font. Donations of $10 can be made by texting "MFR" to 85944. ...

Exhibition: INLE at 1988

Thanks to Alex Pardee's Facebook, I've found this! What an amazing art show! Just the idea to make an exhibition about the Black rabbit of Inle, a character of Richard Adam's "Watership Down", is pure brilliancy! Then look at the list of artists. We have Alex Pardee, Ron English, Linkin Park's Joe Hahn, Jersey Joe Rime, Revok, Retna, Dave Flores ATC, Jeff Soto, Dan May, Tony Curanaj, Pete Wentz, Travie McCoy, etc. This show just has to be good! EDIT: As the opening was yesterday, I will try to find some more pictures and post them here. Gallery 1988 posted already two contributions on their blog. This one is from curator Greg Simkins:...

Linkin Park at AAC, Dallas: A Night Terror Delivered Via Subwoofer Meets The “Essence of Shinoda”

Zara from mikeshinodaclan.com just tweeted this concert review from Linkin Park's show in Dallas. It's pretty on point and funny at all the right places, so read! Thanks, Zara!
I’m not saying he’s not a man’s man, but Chester Bennington used to drive a sparkly silver PT Cruiser. I know this because he used to live next door to my good friend, and he did not utilize his parking garage. But perhaps he doesn’t need a fancy SUV; he has the grandeur of a world tour, and an arena full of cheering fans that live for the sensation that is Linkin Park. A show postponed by a bout of illness, the size of the audience at American Airlines Center has not been thwarted. “You ready to have some fun?” Chester asks the crowd. As the band opens with “Faint,” his vocals prove to be a bit ahead of the beat, but unharmed, nonetheless. ...

Linkin Park At Staples Centre, Los Angeles – A Review in Tweets

mike Two days ago, Linkin Park rocked their hometown Los Angeles - one of many dates of their North American Tour 2011. There have been a lot of good reviews, but what about all those people that went there and didn't write lengthy reviews on their blogs? One medium that captures single moments in the life of us "regular" people (and the "un-regular", too, sometimes) is Twitter. So here is the first (at least the first I know of) concert review in Tweets! Follow all those people, because they must be cool - they were at a Linkin Park show! http://twitter.com/#!/bigblueoctopus/status/41023137378344960 ...
