Good movies come and go. As a big fan of film and television, I’ve seen a good share of blockbusters that rocked my world. But the Jurassic Park series is different.
Maybe it’s because I dreamed of becoming a paleontologist myself when I was a little – I built my own glow-in-the-dark T.Rex model – or the fact that Jurassic Park was the first movie I sneaked into, because I was too young. Jurassic Park was the movie that shaped my whole life. I still tend to grab the plastic dinosaurs as a gift to my nephews instead of the toy cars – even though I know they actually prefer those. It might make me an awfully inattentive aunt, but it’s not my fault they can’t appreciate the beasts of our prehistory.
Next summer, Jurassic World will hit the screens and it makes me feel the excitement of my ten-year-old self again – I might even sneak in one last time!
The new trailer was released yesterday. Take a moment to watch the indescribable awesomeness of humans in a park getting hunted by dinosaurs + Chris Pratt:
