EDIT: Linkin Park will contribute a new Remix of “Iridescent” and LPLive has the stream of the track! Go there and listen now! What do you think of the new version? It’s not bad, but I like the original better.
Linkin Park fan Astat was at the LP concert in St. Paul yesterday, and he also had a Meet & Greet. Fortunately he could send some interesting news via text message to his friend Garrett. Garrett (@LPPanther) was so nice to tweet the news:

Apparently they’ve decided for “Iridescent” to be on the Transformers 3 soundtrack, instead of “Burning in the Skies”. It’s not clear if it also will be a single, but the chances are high, I guess.
Garrett also tweeted Astats texts about the setlist and other interesting stuff happening at the show.

maybe Linkin Park should make a new song exclusively to Transformers 3. its better in that way to make difference like they’re previous soundtrack of transformers 2..

I guess the problem is that it’s not really wise to make a new song, when you still have an album to promote. Of course they could rerelease ATS with the new song, but I guess it would be better for ATS if one of the tracks would be the new Transformers single.
I have to add though that Phoenix said in a chat, that there won’t be a Transformers single by Linkin Park, Chester though said in an interview that there will be one. So I guess there’s nothing decided yet 😀
