The Gossip Machine, Churning Out Cash

I just found
a great article from the New York Post that shows how "Celebrity Gossip" has developed into a new form of business for celebrities and gossip sites such as TMZ or Radar. Every little bit of the celebrities private lifes is exploited by the media and millions of people can't get enough of the juicy details of Schwarzenegger's affair, Charlie Sheen's latest outburst or the juicy details of Robert Pattinson's relationship with Kristen Stewart. The public life is forced onto them as soon as they've entered the entertainment business, and either they try to resist by avoiding known celebrity hot spots and leading a quiet life behind closed doors, or they try to use the cameras following their every move to boost their fame.
This is often a dirty game as the gossip sites have proved their unscrupulous work ethic in the past, e.g. when they've obtained pictures of Rihanna after she was beaten up by her then-boyfriend Chris Brown, or when they've bought the medical records of Britney Spears after her hospitalization in Cedar's-Sinai Medical Center in 2008, not forgetting the death of Lady Diana in a car accident after she was chased by a horde of paparazzi.

‘Teach Me How To Dougie’ Rapper Shot To Death Sunday Night

INGLEWOOD, Calif. -- M-Bone of the rap group Cali Swag District, which scored a hit last year with the song "Teach Me the Dougie," was killed in a weekend drive-by shooting as he sat in a car outside a liquor store, police said Monday.
The motive for Sunday night's shooting was under investigation, Lt. James Madia said.
The 22-year-old Inglewood man, whose real name is Mante Ray Talbert, was sitting alone in his car shortly after 10:30 p.m.
"Another car pulled alongside, gunshots were fired, and the victim was struck twice in the head," Madia said.
Talbert died at a hospital....

Hello everybody!
I haven't written one of these in a while; sorry for neglecting you. I do hope this finds you all just splendid.
I'm back in Blighty now; the birds are singing, the summer's nearly here, I miss you all and hope to see you soon.
We've started recording the new record, excitingly, at the famous Abbey Road Studios. Haven't quite managed to get our pictures taken on that legendary zebra crossing yet, but we do spend a lot of time looking over at other people's attempts. Lying down in the middle of it seems to be popular, weirdly. Bit dangerous if you ask me....
Feel Your Heart Beat: Eurovision Song Contest 2011 In Germany

This year's Eurosvision Song Contest will be hosted by Germany, because our Lena has won last year's contest in Oslo with her song "Satellite". In a bout of either idiocy or ingenuity she has decided to defend her title this year by participating again with the song "Taken by a stranger" wich was chosen via televoting by the German audience.
I've decided to do some
live tweeting during the Final, so if you wanna know what I think about the different performances, follow
@adiek84 on Twitter or add
Adie Klarpol to your Facebook friends, because my Tweets will be posted to my FB wall, too.
Who should win the Eurovision Song Contest 2011? How do you like this year's Song Contest in germany?
