The Swedish fine artist, illustrator, and mural artist, Ekta, was interviewed by Juxtapoz magazine. Among other things, he talks about his background, his discovery of art, his name, his works, and why he doesn't do outside work at the moment. It's a great interview!
Tell me a little bit about yourself and how you got started? I was born in 1978 in a small coastal town in the south of Sweden. When I was 18 I moved to London with my best friend to skate and ended up staying there for 9 years. Art came through skateboarding and somewhere around the millennium painting and drawing became more important to me than skating. Some early influences in art were people like Mark Gonzales and Neil Blender. In 2005 my personal life was not so good and not having money to pay the expensive London bills, I decided to try my luck back in Sweden and moved to Gothenburg, where I’ve been since....
As an urban historian & photographer, I try to peel back the layers of a city to see what's underneath. From the tops of bridges to the depths of sewer tunnels, these explorations of the urban environment help me puzzle together the interconnected, multi-dimensional history and complexity of the great metropolises of the world.(Steve Duncan) In December Steve Duncan took a trip into New York's underground, spending there a whole week, sleeping in the tunnels. Check out some footage of the trip after the jump!...

If you are interested in cool events, like Art Basel, the premiere of Banksy's "Exit Through The Gift Shop", or just some private party with cool people, like 50 Cent, you just have to stumble upon Willie T's photos one day. Next to Photography, he's also active in filming. On his vimeo profile he writes:
Filming is something that I'm never thought I was going to be doing, I always thought I would end up with a career that I would in be happy with but filming is were I can express my Art, I feel that every moment I capture someone in front of my lens is a Memory they leave behind..
