Exhibition: INLE at 1988

Thanks to Alex Pardee's Facebook, I've found this! What an amazing art show! Just the idea to make an exhibition about the Black rabbit of Inle, a character of Richard Adam's "Watership Down", is pure brilliancy! Then look at the list of artists. We have Alex Pardee, Ron English, Linkin Park's Joe Hahn, Jersey Joe Rime, Revok, Retna, Dave Flores ATC, Jeff Soto, Dan May, Tony Curanaj, Pete Wentz, Travie McCoy, etc. This show just has to be good! EDIT: As the opening was yesterday, I will try to find some more pictures and post them here. Gallery 1988 posted already two contributions on their blog. This one is from curator Greg Simkins:...

LAVA Gallery presents: OTTO SCHADE | Solo show LAVA Gallery 1.11 Kingly Court, Carnaby Street, London, W1B 5PW, United Kingdom Opening Party: Thursday 6th January 2010 | 6PM-9PM Exhibition from: 7th January -19th January 2010 Facebook Event

We're excited to announce the first in our series of artist showcases. We have invited Otto Schade to display his extraordinary artwork at our new headquarters in Kingly Court. The opening reception is on 6th January from 6pm onwards; the show will run for a fortnight. Originally from Chile, Schade now lives and works in London. As a street artist, Schade has lit up the East End with his intricate, surreal images. He is equally adept as a fine artist, creating highly accomplished oil paintings on canvas. We can't wait to see what Schade has in store for us. It promises to be a memorable show and a fitting start to our program of events in 2011. We've got some tremendous artists lined up for the coming months - stay tuned for more announcements. www.lavacollective.com/008-Otto_Schade.html Source
