In an exclusive phone interview with the Philippine Star, Brad Delson talked about Linkin Park's latest album "A Thousand Suns", their benefit show for Japan, the tour in Asia and what holds the band together after 15 years. The interview is really interesting, so check it out:
MANILA, Philippines - If Linkin Park sounds nothing like the rock/rap-metal band of a decade ago in its latest record A Thousand Suns, the departure from the earlier sounds that earmarked the band to fans worldwide has been intentional.
In an exclusive phone interview with Brad Delson, one of Linkin Park’s founding members, he expressed his gratefulness at the support generated for the group’s new direction.
“I’m very proud of the album A Thousand Sounds. It was really a labor of love. And I’m appreciative of all the amazing support we received because it definitely was a departure from our earlier records,” the 33-year-old lead guitarist said of the fourth record of the Los Angeles-based, Grammy-winning band....
A Trip to Linkin Park Underground Headquarters and Linkin Park's Secret Show for Japan in Los Angeles by Nichole Portales
As you know I won a trip to LA for a referral contest that I won back in 2009. I arrived In Los Angeles on Tuesday night.
Adam from LPU basically took us everywhere we needed to go so of course he picked us up at the airport and greeted me with a hug. He took us out to eat at a mexican restaurant which was awesome then dropped us off at the hotel after he helped us get checked in. Then we pretty much just hung out there for the remainder of the night.
They put us up at the Roosevelt hotel in Hollywood which is one of the most famous hotels in Hollywood. That night they had a pool party with a DJ, so we hung out there, and our room had a mini bar packed with everything you could think of so we had a blast at the hotel.

Yesterday, Linkin Park played in front of 1,500 fundraisers at the Mayan Theatre in Los Angeles. As you might know, they managed to collect $357,000! Here are some interesting tweets related to the show. Some are just funny nonsense, others are articles or pictures. Take a look:
Leeds Festival August 26 - 28, 2011
Fan Review by
Matt
As a lover of live music of any sort and having visited Reading Festival last year, my friends and I decided we would go to its sister festival in Leeds to see how it compared to the original down south. At this point, I could describe all the feelings of excitement and apprehension because of the forecast rain, but I know people will come here to read about the festival, so here goes:WEDNESDAY:
Being an Early Bird ticket holder, I was allowed to set up Wednesday to ensure space for my tent. The first task is getting to the shuttle buses, a tiny and supposedly easy task in comparison to the weekend, but this turned out to be one of the hardest elements. I’m not sure what it is about the organisers of Leeds Festival, but they appear to hate signage of any kind. There was a complete absence of directions to the shuttle buses, and this paired with the fact the locals seemed to have no idea that Leeds festival existed, let alone was taking place this weekend, led to us walking around the city for 2 hours with our heavy equipment. We finally found the shuttle buses, only to discover that there were some right by the train station we arrived in, literally hidden around a corner. If I wasn’t so tired I probably would’ve punched the bus driver in his big, smug, laughing face.

Arriving at the campsite after a 40 minute bus ride led to further confusion, as there was, again, a complete lack of signs. After wandering round and asking a few staff members we found our way to the campsite. The layout wasn’t the most efficient, with badly set out paths, too many hills and again, no directions. We eventually set up, and it began raining, beginning our festival experience properly....
I think it's very interesting to see how artists change their music style and appearance over the years. Music videos show this development really good, so I want to post some Videographies here. The first one goes to My Chemical Romance who went from an underground emo band to one of the most popular rock bands worldwide.
Tell me in the comments which videographies you want to see here!
